Tomorrow I got to Florida Catholic Youth Day in Islands of Adventure. I am looking forward to it. I made a T-Shirt of the Pope just for that. It should be fun!

One thing though, only me and one other girl is going out of the Middle/High school youth group, the rest are boys.......this should be interesting. I bring my camera and the try to upload so pics if they are good.

I have a lot to do, so I'll tell u what happened tomorrow or Sunday.

Much Love

Memorial mass
Mood:  blue
Now Playing: My Fair Lady soundtrack
I want to tell you guys about the memorial mass my Catholic Church gave for the Pope yesterday. In front of the church was beautiful (I have a picture, I'll upload ASAP) it had a picture of Pop John Paul II and a water fall, a picture of Jesus, and a massive amount of flowers. Our church borrowed a coffin for symbolism. They brought it down like they would in a regular funeral, but the were shaking some sacred smoke throughout the church. The mass was Bilingual, and it was so beautiful, especially the Homily. Our pastor kept repeating the Pope's most famous quote, "do not be afraid." Even though I want to follow that quote, it's hard. I am in doubt that the College of Cardinals can find a replacement pope at least half as good as Pope John Paul II. People were waiting in front of the Vatican for 12-24 hours to see the Pope for a couple of seconds. The funeral in Vatican City tomorrow (about 3 AM EST) should be beautiful. I want to wake up early just to watch it on CNN. The memorial mass here offered some closure for me, but not enough. This was the only pope in my lifetime, and I was suppose to meet him this summer at World Youth Day in Germany. To think I missed it by a few months. I think thats why this is so hard for me. The Pope was my idol, I loved him, he was like a father to me. When I found out he died, I was in Brandsmart, and they have TVs all over the place, but the ones with the broadcasting had no sound, so I ran around the store to find a TV that had the sound up (it never occurred to me to just walk up to one of TVs showing it and turning the volume up. Shock makes you stupid.) I was not able to cry till Wednesday, at the mass. It just seemed so unreal, so impossible that this man has passed on. Now I have a hard time to feel happy. I hope the broadcast tomorrow will help.

Thank you for dealing with my unbearable blabbering.

I Hate This!
Mood:  blue
I hate the people in this country sometimes. I was in a chatroom about the Pope and such, and the people in there were SOOOO IMMATURE talking about how bad he was!!!! It totally was stupid...the Pope didn't only go to Catholics, but also to Jews, Muslims, and others. He was the best Pope in years! He helped a whole lot to end most of the worlds communism governments in the world, and went to about 126 countries! He only spent 1/3 of his time in Rome.

I think it is really sad that he died, but he went while he was in a coma, which is like dying in your sleep, the most peaceful way to die. May God bless Pope John Paul II's soul, and try to place someone as good as him in his place, for it will be practically impossible to put someone better.
Pope John Paul II (1920-2005) May his soul rest peacefully in heaven.

Turns out
Mood:  blue
As I was saying yesterday, the media falsely stated the Pope was dead, but he offically died today at about 3:30 PM EST. I am really sad, he was the only Pope in my life time, and I am kinda sad he did die.

More tomorrow

1st Blog Entry :)
Mood:  lazy
Hey everyone! It's 11:02 P.M. here. I started this blog as a outlet for everything that goes on in a teenagers life. I'm working in a musical play at my school, "Oliver!". I'm just in the chorus, but it's still blast! I'm Catholic, and am really upset that Pope John Paul II is sick, he is suffering. When the news falsely announced that the Pope was dead, I was at rehearsal, but everyone was like "about time" and that hurt me. I couldn't make a big deal about it however, because than everyone would be making fun of me for caring. I hate that! I can't even be myself without that fear. I'm kinda reserved, so I don't like making myself out and in the open.

Well I have to finish tomorrow, cause it's getting late, and I have to be there @ 10 AM for rehearsal, and 7 or 8AM for Workcall (building the sets).

Much Love,
Lyn
